We meet on the 1st and 3rd Tuesday of each month at 11:00 AM in the Board of Elections office at the Henry A. Dennis Building.

May 6, 2008 upcoming May Primary – important dates:

Filing period starts Monday, February 11, 2008 at 12:00 noon and ends on Friday, February 29, 2008 at 12:00 noon (the Board of Elections office will remain open during lunch – Monday – Friday, 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM until filing ends).

March 17, 2008 – April 29, 2008 – Can request an absentee ballot, in writing, to be mailed to you.

April 11, 2008 – last day to register for the May 6, 2008 Primary.

April 17, 2008 – Early voting starts (Board of Elections office) 8:30 AM – 5: 00 PM and ends on Saturday, May 3, 2008 at 1:00 PM.  The Board of Elections office will not close for lunch during this time.  The only Saturday that the Board of Elections will be open to vote is Saturday, May 3, 2008. 

May 1, 2008 – Observers list due to the Board of Elections at 10:00 AM.

May 13, 2008 – Board of Elections will meet at 11:00 AM for canvass at the Board of Elections office – 300 S. Garnett St., Henry A. Dennis Building.

May 14, 2008 – 5:00 PM - deadline for eligible candidates to request recount – must be in writing to the County Board of Elections.

May 15, 2008 – 5:00 PM deadline to file election protest with County Board of Elections.  Protest must be in writing and signed by the protestor.
