By becoming a Guardian ad Litem, you can pair with an attorney advocate to ensure that a child’s best interests are represented in court. Many children are victims of abuse, neglect, etc. and are at the mercy of a complex network of lawyers, social workers, judges, etc. who may not have time to provide direct attention that each child needs. Find out how you can serve as one child’s voice in court by contacting Wynona Thomas, GAL Supervisor, at 430-5121 or Wynona.m.thomas@nccourts.org.
