 You can now go on-line and fill out a “voter registration application”.  You will need to go to the State Board of Elections website at: .    Once you have filled form out, send to the Board of Elections Office at 300 S. Garnett Street, Henderson, NC.  27536.

We meet on the 1st and 3rd Tuesday of each month at 4:00 PM in the Board of Elections at the Henry A. Dennis Building.

The Board members are:   Sennica Nicholson-Pitts – Chair Person, James Baines – Secretary, Catherine Clodfelter, Vivian Bullock, and David Frazier – Board Member.

Voters WILL NOT be required to show photo ID for the March 3, 2020 Primary Election.  In a December 31 order, a federal district court blocked North Carolina’s voter photo ID requirement from taking effect.  This injunction will remain in place until further order of the court.  If you have any questions, please contact the State Board of Elections at 919-814-0744.

Mailed Absentee Ballots starts January 13, 2020 and ends on  February 25, 2020.  Anyone can request an absentee ballot.  Once you request an absentee ballot, we will mail you the absentee ballot request form with instructions.  The request form must be back in the office on Tuesday, February 25, 2020 at 5:00 PM.  The absentee ballot must be returned by Tuesday, March 3, 2020 at 5:00 pm or must be postmark by March 3, 2020 and received in the Board of Elections Office by 5:00 pm on Friday, March 6, 2020.

One-Stop voting will start on Thursday, February 13, 2020 and end on Saturday, February 29, 2020.  The hours are 8:00 am to 7:30 pm during the weekdays and on Saturday, February 29, 2020 8:00 am to 3:00 pm.  There are two sites, one is at the Board of Elections office and the other one is at the Henderson Operations Center on Beckford Drive.  You can go to the State Board of Elections website to find this information also.
