You can now go on-line and fill out a “voter registration application”. You will need to go to the State Board of Elections website and click on “Voter Registration” – then lick on “Voter Registration Application”. Once you have filled form out, send to the Board of Elections Office at 300 S. Garnett Street, Henderson, NC. 27536.
We meet on the 1st and 3rd Tuesday of each month at 4:00 PM in the Board of Elections at the Henry A. Dennis Building.
The Board members are: Kevin Kilgore – Board Chairman, Seneca Nicholson – Board Secretary, and Catherine (Cathie) Clodfelter- Board Member.
Filing for the 2017 City Of Henderson Election that will be held on Tuesday, October 10, 2017 will start at 12:00 Noon on Friday, July 7th and end at 12:00 noon on Friday, July 21st. You must live in the ward that you plan to run for. The following wards are up for for re-election: 1st Ward-At-Large Seat – Sara Coffey; 2nd Ward – At – Large Seat – Michael Inscoe; 3rd Ward Seat – Garry Daeke; and 4th Ward Seat – Fearldine Simmons. You must also live in the city in order to vote in this election. Filing fee is $5.00.
As for dates, time, and location of early voting, once I have this information, I will post it. Also, for mailed absentees, I will post those dates as soon as I receive the information.
Filing for the 2017 Town of Kittrell and 2017 Town of Middleburg Election will also start at 12:00 Noon on Friday, July 7th and end at 12:00 noon on Friday, July 21st. Filing fee is $5.00. You must live the the Town of Kittrell and Town of Middleburg in order to vote in their election. Town of Kittrell has the following offices up for re-election: Mayor – three Town Commissioners. Middleburg has the following offices up for re-election: Mayor – 3 Town Councilman. Their election will be on Tuesday, November 7th. Also, if the City of Henderson has to have a runoff, that will be on Tuesday, November 7th.
